Take a peaceful stroll through Salem Common, a serene park near downtown, or enjoy the tranquil walking paths along the harbor. Salem’s natural beauty offers the perfect backdrop for a relaxing afternoon.

Take a moment to sip a warm beverage in one of Salem’s charming cafes. It’s the perfect place to relax, read, or simply enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Itinerary
Haunted Happenings Grand Parade
Day 1: Oct 2, 2025
Check-In:
Time: 4:00 PM
- Action: Check into your room, settle in, and relax.
Pre-Parade Meet-Up:
- Time: 5:00 PM
- Meet in the hotel lobby to head out together. Wear comfortable shoes.
Haunted Happenings Grand Parade:
• Time: 6:30 PM
- Salem's famous Halloween parade featuring spooky characters, colorful floats, and lively music.
- Over 15,000 spectators expected for a lively, immersive experience.
After Parade:
- Time: After the parade (around 8:00 PM)
- We will have transportation available to take you back to the hotel. Guests have the option to go to dinner or explore Salem on their own expense.
Opt-Out Option:
- If you have phobias of horror imagery, characters, or large crowds, you are welcome to opt out of the parade and enjoy a free night at your own expense.
Trolley Tours
Day 2: Oct 3, 2025
Morning:
- Continental breakfast at the hotel.
- Depart for a Hocus Pocus Trolley Tour with the cast, visiting iconic filming locations from the beloved film.
Midday:
- Enjoy New England cuisine for lunch at a local restaurant, savoring classic dishes like clam chowder and lobster rolls.
Afternoon:
- Free time to explore Salem's unique shops and boutiques before the weekend crowds arrive.
Evening:
- Enjoy a group dinner or have a free night to explore Salem at your leisure.
Meet + Greet
Day 3: Oct 4, 2025
Morning:
- Continental breakfast at the hotel.
- Hocus Pocus Cast Meet-and-Greet: Autographs (11am) and keepsake photos (1pm) with the cast
Afternoon:
- Browse the Haunted Happenings Market and grab a bite from the food trucks.
- Join a walking tour through Salem’s historic district to explore more of the town’s legendary sites.
Evening:
- Group dinner and transportation back to the hotel.
Final Day
Day 4: Oct 5, 2025
Morning: Continental breakfast in the hotel lobby, sleep in, or relax as you please.
Noon: Lunch in Salem followed by portrait photos in the gardens of the Ropes Mansion (Allison’s House) from Hocus Pocus.
Afternoon: Explore The Witch House, the last standing house from the Salem Witch Trials, with a self-guided tour.
Evening: Enjoy a farewell dinner for your last taste of New England cuisine followed by more Hocus Pocus fun!
Return to Hotel: Prepare for departure and book your transportation to Boston Logan International Airport if flying out.

Please note that any guests wishing to venture outside of our scheduled itinerary will do so at their own expense, as we will not be providing transportation outside of the scheduled itinerary.
- Travel Prep: For those flying out on Monday, we encourage everyone to pre-reserve their public transportation (Uber/Lyft) from the hotel to Boston Logan International Airport for the appropriate times based on their flight departure times.
- Travel Time: Please allow 45-50 minutes for travel time to the airport to account for any potential traffic delays.

The Best Western Plus North Shore Hotel is conveniently located just 15 miles north of Boston and only 7 miles from historic Salem. This Danvers, MA hotel in the Greater Boston area is near scenic Rockport, Gloucester, Salem State College, Gordon College, Endicott College, the Salem Witch Museum, the Peabody Essex Museum, the New England Aquarium and the Museum of Science, Boston.
Guests of this Danvers, MA hotel will enjoy a free full hot breakfast that includes a make-your-own waffle station, eggs, sausage and features a variety of morning delights such as mini-muffins, assorted yogurts, hot and cold cereal, English muffins, bagels & cream cheese, doughnuts, juices and coffee.

This event is open to everyone — whether you are attending as a family, a couple, with your besties, or as an individual traveling solo. We are an LGBTQ+ Friendly retreat, and we welcome all participants with open arms!
Pets / Service Animals:
Please note that, per hotel rules, no pets or service animals will be allowed during the retreat. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Inclement Weather & Unforeseen Circumstances:
In the event of inclement weather or any unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, contingency plans will be put in place to ensure you still get the most out of your retreat experience. However, no discounts or refunds will be issued for weather-related disruptions or other factors that may affect the itinerary.
Client Responsibility for Travel:
It is the client's sole responsibility to arrange their travel to and from the lodging venue at the designated times and dates set by Spooky Girl Retreats. We are not responsible for individual travel arrangements. Participants must take care of their flights and general transportation to and from their place of residency at their own expense. While our retreat package includes free transportation to all tourist locations, restaurants, and events outlined in the itinerary, we are happy to provide recommendations for airlines, airports, and routes to help make your travel experience as smooth as possible. Should you need assistance or have any questions, feel free to reach out! We are more than happy to assist you.
Post-Payment Information:
Once full payment for the retreat has been made, clients will receive a welcome packet in the mail which includes the full detailed itinerary and shopping guide!

In the event you have to cancel your reservation, here are some guidelines below.
Cancellations Between
April 7, 2025 - June 1, 2025:
Refund granted of 35% excluding $500 deposit
Cancellations after June 1, 2025:
No Refunds. No transfers. No exceptions.
Terms and Conditions: Cancellation & Refund Policy
By participating in the retreat, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions regarding cancellations, refunds, and other related matters:
No Additional Claims or Compensation: You will not be entitled to claim any additional amounts or seek compensation for injury, loss, expenses, damages (either direct or consequential), or any loss of time or inconvenience that may result from cancellation of the retreat. This includes, but is not limited to, instances such as flight cancellations, travel delays, illness, or any unforeseen circumstances.
No Refunds for Non-Participation or Early Departure: There will be no refunds or discounts for any missed events, failure to participate in scheduled activities, arriving late, leaving early, or other reasons, including but not limited to personal choice, illness, or travel complications.
- Adherence to Payment Plans: All participants are required to adhere to the agreed-upon payment plan as outlined in the signed contract. Failure to make payments in accordance with the terms will result in forfeiting your spot on the retreat. If a participant cuts contact or halts payments without notice, there will be no refunds, transfers, or compensation provided.
- Encouragement of Travel Insurance: Purchasing third-party travel insurance is highly encouraged to cover any potential issues such as travel delays, cancellations, or other unforeseen circumstances. We recommend you consult with a local travel agent for more information regarding travel insurance options.
